Fun Fact: This block was originally planted as Pinot Gris in 1984 and was grafted to Pinot Noir in 2014. When grafting grape vines, we are able to maintain the established root while cutting and inserting a new grape variety on top. This area of the vineyard originally had several experiemental rows of grapes including Gewurztraminer and Muller Thurgau.
