Windmill Hill 1

Block Name: Rainbow Pinot Gris (lower)

Variety: Pinot Gris

Clone: unknown

Year Planted: 1985

Trellis Type: Single High Wire

Acres: 2.18

Soil: Marine Sedimentary

Fun Fact: This block spans both our soil types, marine sedimentary down low and volcanic up high, contributing to a range of fruit expression.  We harvest this block along with the upper section all in one day and ferment it together, utilizing the complexity of the planting site and showcasing it in the resulting wine. Here you are starting around 250 feet in elevation and will reach 500 feet at the top.
