Accolades
“Aromas of cherry biscuit and forest leaves, as well as a rose-like fragrance. The palate has quite a firm tannin structure and delivers plenty of extract, amid red-plum and cherry flavors." - 90 pts, James Suckling
Gold Medal, 2022 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
“The Burger family, who founded in 1983 what’s now the oldest winery in Oregon’s McMinnville American Viticultural Area, and homegrown winemaker Ariel Eberle continue to release wines worthy of acclaim in the wake of being named 2019 Oregon Winery of the Year. Their flagship bottling is this estate Pinot Noir, a sweep of the 150-acre site that features Pommard, Wadensvil and a handful of Dijon clone fruit that spent eight months in a barrel program with a discreet impact of wood from 10% new French oak. That allows it to take on a Burgundian approach with its earthiness and incredible balance that swirls in a wealth of dark blue fruit, a scrape of vanilla bean and sense of forest floor. There’s richness through the midpalate that gathers up white pepper and Craisin for the pleasantly long finish.” - 92 pts, Great Northwest Wine
